Working with the Friends Garden Committee to design, prune and plant the garden at the Friends Meeting House on Canyon Road. This is a beautiful, historic Santa Fe garden.
Location:
630 Canyon Road, behind the Friends Meeting House.
Goal:
Come up with a garden plan (done as of Fall 2009), prune existing trees and shrubs (hold pruning workshop at site), and help plant newly purchased trees and perennials.
Looking for volunteers who…
Wish to learn about and put into practice pruning techniques, and who wish to assist with planting.
Type of physical work performed:
Pruning and planting.
Work Schedule:
Pruning workshop and session in March (date TBA); planting sessions in June (dates TBA); bring your own tools and gardening gloves.
Additional Info:
This is a short term project, meaning it will end once the MG’s help with the planting in early 2010. The garden is open to the public, however, and return visits to admire the garden are encouraged.
